The Great Reset

Thank you again dear reader for visiting this substack series on how to save the world in one easy lesson (I wish). In this column we look to the future in the hope that it will be an improvement on the present … or even the past.
As a reminder, Panocracy is a system for improving the lot of the ordinary person by cutting out the middle men who do so much damage to our hard work and honest efforts. Please have a look at Panocracy 4 and Panocracy 5 for the first cut ideas at implementing this system.
Last time we looked at populism and contrasted it with our panocratic proposals. We saw that populism promises much but is really just more of the same – more ill-informed, incompetent and malignant leaders; more unwarranted manipulation of our lives by the unelected; more them and us.
This time we're going to have a brief glance at another bogeyman lurking in the bright light of day – the so-called Great Reset.
Reset
In Scots law the word reset means “the receiving and keeping stolen goods, knowing them to be stolen, with a design of feloniously retaining them from the real owner.” -

I doubt whether Klaus Schwab, who coined the term 'Great Reset', was aware of this but it does characterise his philosophy rather well.
The Great Reset
When I first heard about the Great Reset I thought, like most people, that it would be just another ideology dreamt up by some group of deranged lunatics. I was half right: it's not another ideology. It's an old one that's been rebranded (as we'll see below).
As might be expected FullFact have decreed that the Great Reset is all just a conspiracy theory – which is a most convenient way of dismissing views you don't like but can't refute. In fact, this characterises much of what passes for full fact in modern post-truth times. Indeed the World Economic Forum (WEF), of which the aforementioned Herr Dr. Schwab is founder, can rely on its proteges to wield a panoply of tactics to avoid addressing criticism of its ideology.
The ideas underlying the Great Reset are expressed in its strapline 'you will own nothing and you will be happy'. This can only mean the appropriation of the wealth of private citizens by a benevolent state and large compassionate corporations. Indeed extreme intervention is essential to deliver any of the goals of Agenda30. Those doing the intervening will coincidentally be those most likely to benefit from the appropriation of the assets (that's the reset bit in Great Reset). It will also be great for them. And you … will be happy.
The house you live in, the energy you use, the car you drive - all must be 'owned' by someone. If it's not you then who will it be? Well, it will be a fairly small group of people who will naturally have your best interests at heart – because they will tell you so – and, who knows, may even believe it themselves.
These people will be well-educated, well-dressed, articulate and saintly in their beliefs that they are serving your interests and that they alone are privy to the truth. They - let's call them 'young global leaders' - will be selected for those very qualities by a caucus of shadowy figures, then schooled and groomed for greatness and presented to you as ideal candidates to lead your nation. And you will give them legitimacy by means of the ballot box because of their youth, good looks and confidence. They will be infallible. And you will be happy.
In the background, their acolytes will work tirelessly to ensure your health, safety and well-being by introducing new laws and regulations of byzantine complexity designed to thwart all manner of egregious behaviours. And by egregious they mean anything that they don't like. Opposition to this is unnecessary as it is obvious that the Great Reset is the only true path to salvation - the way, the truth, the life. And you will be happy.
Of course there will always be those flies in the ointment, despite the nudge units and ersatz virtue signalling – the Galileos, Spinozas, Solzhenitsyns, Canadian truckers, unmasked, anti-vaxxers, climate change deniers ... The list is surprisingly long so there must be much more mental illness in society than we acknowledge. After all, you must be sick or an Enemy of the State to disagree with the policy of your elected government as informed by The Science.
But no matter, those virtuous technocrats, those dear leaders of the fourth industrial revolution will simply starve out the pesky dissidents by freezing their bank accounts. In a cashless society this will be trivial. Unable to buy the basics - they'll soon come around to the right way of thinking! And you will be happy.
We can also send them to internment camps to detoxify their inconvenient truths. And you will be happy.
The conclusion of the course that Dr Schwab and his WEF have set can only be totalitarianism and this is the fear of many of the thinking population following recent events.
The WEF is a mechanism for the insertion of useful idiots into positions of power. It's a vehicle for the promulgation of scare stories to scare people into compliance with its ideology using most of the same tricks as the National Socialist Parties in 1920s Russia, 1930s Germany and many others including modern China and North Korea.
It promises us redemption by means of ever more intrusive state interventions which inevitably entail handing over control of our lives to technocrats. It requires the demonisation of a section of humanity – the 'deniers' - to blame for the ills that result from incompetent policy. It is a monoculture of belief, a religious movement and as such suffocates innovation and development except such as empowers its high priests.
What starts as noblesse oblige soon degenerates into droits du seigneur.
By contrast, a panocracy won't allow this kind of nonsense to get any traction. An economics professor like Dr. Schwab could still run his WEF and still groom his bright young things to take over the world. They just won't be able to reach positions of power because, in our panocracy, no one can. They can - and will - try to convince gullible individuals within the population that they’re their saviours but the sceptical will be able to air their objections rather than have them suppressed. And the debates will be in public and not in Davos.
So in a panocracy you will own your house and your car, have a family and a worthwhile job and trustworthy friends and neighbours (assuming you still want all these things!). You will be able to travel abroad without being made to feel like a planet killer by those who frequently cross the globe in private jets.
And you will be happy, sad, angry or whatever you like.
We mentioned totalitarianism above and next time we're going to take a closer look at it to see how easy our current systems of communication have made our transition into it.

That is the Great Reset. You won't even own your own body or its unique DNA. Your entire life on this planet will be leasehold - rented courtesy of the globalist Overlords who will in effect be the Landlords of Planet Earth. All that lives and breathes on earth will be subject to a leasehold contract and if you don't pay your ground rent and abide by the covenants of that lease, then you'll be evicted - from your own patented body. That is Schwab's 'vision'.
